One of a series of light sculptures for individual bridges in Southwark, this work was developed by artist Ron Haselden with architects Robert Ian Barnes and Taeko Matsumoto. It was part of the Light at the End of the Tunnel strategy to transform bridge and roadway tunnel lighting through an innovative use of both functional and decorative lighting, engaging with artists, architects and lighting designers. The Cross-River Partnership launched Light at the End of the Tunnel which was funded and supported by TfL, Southwark, Lambeth and City of Westminster Councils, Network Rail, Railway Heritage and local businesses.
