It is anticipated that more money will be spent on art in the public realm in Stratford than in the whole of London in the next few years. Around twenty-five commissions are currently proposed or in development.

Stakeholders include Westfield, Lend Lease, Olympic Delivery Authority, Docklands Light Railway, Art on the Underground, London Development Agency and LB Newham, and others are also currently scoping other opportunities.

Given the range of activity, Art in the Open’s work is to help ensure that the end results are as joined-up as possible, and offer a high quality public realm experience for visitors and residents alike.

Below you can now download details of major development sites where opportunities for commissioning art in the public realm in Stratford are being considered, and key commissions (both realised and in development) that are happening in the area.
